Job Description Manufacturing Coating Line Technician 3939 W 56th St, Indianapolis, IN 46254 IN180 Manufacturing Facility Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU 4:15pm - 2:45am MON TUE WED THU 6:00am - 4:30pm FRI SAT SUN 6:00am - 6:30pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Manufacturing Coating Line Technician, you will be responsible for learning, understanding and operating equipment in our Magni coating line. The coating process utilizes a shot blaster to prepare pre-existing parts for coating, a dip spin to coat parts, and ovens to cure and harden the coating surfaces. Training will be provided to ensure an understanding of coating basics, the operation and capabilities of the line and its components. This Full-time position is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals to join our company, while exploring the numerous opportunities Fastenal has available. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: oPreparing parts for processing oOperating a dip-spin coating machine oProcessing coated parts through the appropriate oven and thermal process to cure coating oPackaging finished product for shipment to the customer oPerforming and documenting inspections on products oRunning multiple pieces of equipment at the same time oProviding assistance to other employees when needed REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work oExcellent written and oral communication skills oProficient computer skills o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency oDemonstrate strong attention to detail and quality o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented oDemonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities oExhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills oWork independently as well as in a team environment oLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs oPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: oPrior painting or coating work experience oDemonstrate basic understanding of chemistry and its principals ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
