Location: Jacksonville; onsite

Schedule: Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm

Salary range: $16.21-$20.27 per hour, depending upon experience

What work will you perform?

As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in evaluating prospective independent Owner Operator drivers (BCOs) for compliance with DOT regulations and Landstar's minimum requirements. Your primary responsibility will be to carefully audit their application information to ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards. Your keen attention to detail, coupled with your ability to proactively identify discrepancies in written communications, will be key to your success in this role. This position requires a high level of accuracy, thoroughness, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Audit and process requests to qualify BCO's and equipment with Landstar, adhering to FMCSA regulations and guidelines
  • Ensure all DOT regulations are present on BCO qualification files submitted for review
  • Effectively communicate to assist in onboarding BCOs and their independent equipment to a new contract
  • Collaborate with leadership to address any incoming issues or concerns related to the BCO's contract start with Landstar
  • Return qualification files to appropriate staff for missing, incorrect, or unvalidated information
  • Data entry in various Landstar databases



Minimum Experience and Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • 1 year of customer service experience



Preferred Experience and Qualifications:



  • 6 months of experience in an administrative support role
  • 6 months of transportation experience



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams
  • Ability to work in a time sensitive, constantly evolving environment
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and compare data; emphasis in audit/review
  • Excellent diligence; ability to effectively pinpoint inconsistencies
  • Ability to prioritize tasks; always remaining organized and on task
  • Excellent people skills; ability to remain objective in escalated situations, maintaining composure and professionalism.
