The pay for this position ranges from $85000 - $96000.

Position Overview

The Corporate Security Manager/Specialist is a key position responsible for ensuring the safety and security of executives, team members and corporate facilities at FuelCell Energy's Danbury and Torrington locations. This role involves implementing and managing a comprehensive corporate security program and assisting to oversee the incident management processes. The successful candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, in-depth knowledge of security protocols, and the ability to respond swiftly to security incidents.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide location-based presence for physical security for team members.
  • Provide security presence for executives during both routine operations and special events.
  • Conduct risk assessments for executive travel and residences to ensure maximum safety.
  • Coordinate with external security providers, law enforcement agencies, Fusion Centers, and security associations as needed and required.


  • Implement a corporate security program that aligns with the company's strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular security audits at FCE's locations and in field to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, emergency management, and training programs for all employees.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and management of security systems and technology, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure comprehensive protection against both physical and cyber threats.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing armed security operations, preferably with a background in law enforcement or military service.
  • Proficiency in firearms handling, safety procedures, and legal regulations concerning armed security.
  • Relevant certifications in security management, emergency management, and firearms handling, including any necessary permits or licenses for carrying arms.
  • Excellent decision-making skills and communication, particularly under pressure or during emergencies.
  • Strong knowledge of physical security concepts, security systems, technologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with executives, employees, and external partners.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) are highly desirable.
  • Experience in loss prevention and protection of intellectual property.

  • Crisis Management: Proficiency in managing and responding to crises and security incidents effectively.

  • Policy Development: Experience in developing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to enhance overall security.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey security information clearly and effectively.


Work Environment

The Corporate Security Manager will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. The role may involve occasional travel to different company locations, executive off-site meetings, special events, and executive residences. The position may also require working outside regular business hours to respond to security incidents and emergencies.


Reporting Structure

The Corporate Security Manager will report directly to the Senior Director, Security. The role may also involve close collaboration with other senior leaders and department heads.
