ABOUT THE POSITION: This position is vital to the success of our production operations, helping to ensure we are exceeding the needs of our customers and providing outstanding, quality-made lights.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE: You'll have 7+ years of Quality Engineering-related experience within a similar manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive, medical, or aerospace industry, along with a Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or another Science-related equivalent. Having an ASQ certification as a CQE is preferred, along with an understanding and experience of ensuring compliance to Regulatory Requirements. You completely understand ISO 9000 and IATF standards and are familiar with using statistical analysis tools and software, Metrology / CMM, and GD&T. Though technically savvy, you also enjoy communicating and training others on the importance of meeting quality standards.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

You will EXPLORE by:



  • Developing, maintaining, and improving the J.W. Speaker quality requirements and standards, ensuring flow-down and compliance in all Zones including Molding, SMT, and Assembly.
  • Working with NPD, manufacturing engineering, and operations to ensure flawless new product launch.
  • Managing, monitoring, and maintaining customer portal requirements including metrics, CCAR, and ECN.
  • Developing and maintaining direct relationships with customers regarding quality issues, including interfacing with OEM customers for J.W. Speaker product related issues.


You will INNOVATE by:



  • Facilitating continuous improvement efforts in all Zones including Molding, SMT, and Assembly. Assisting in identification, development, and implementation of effective quality control methodologies required to ensure process and product conformity.
  • Coaching, driving, and implementing correct action efforts in key areas.
  • Conducting ongoing review, analysis, and reporting of key customer metrics including PPM, Out-of-Box failures and Warranty failures, and recommending improvement efforts based on trend data.


You will PERFORM by:



  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (product-related) including participation in external agency audits, CoP Control Plan development and maintenance, record-keeping, and follow-up where required.
  • Potentially overseeing quality technicians for daily receiving inspection, final inspection, NCM disposition execution and raise level of involvement, responsibility, and accountability with team building.
  • Supporting Current Engineering in review and implementation of customer-specific requirements relating to product conformity and recommending methods to improve processes and products to better meet requirements.
  • Supporting Manufacturing Engineering in development and deployment of Process Core Tools (Dynamic Control Plans, FMEA, etc.) while mentoring and training key personnel in proper use of Core Tools.

    Education
    Bachelors of Engineering (preferred)
    Experience
    7 years: Quality Engineering related experience (preferred)
    Licenses & Certifications
    Cert. Quality Engineer (preferred)
