Job Summary
Westat has an immediate opening for a Treasury Assistant in the Accounting Department reporting to our Treasury Cash Management Analyst. The candidate will manage and support various aspects of transactions processing and recording, and corporate asset reporting. The role involves close coordination with various internal departments to provide overall support for financial operations.

Job Responsibilities
* Process and reconcile daily bank transactions.
* Monitor and report on treasury activities.
* Record transactions to support the preparation of financial statements.
* Prepare and maintain accurate transaction records.
* Assist in cash flow management and forecasting.
* Monitor department central inbox, researching inquiries, and escalating issues as needed.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
Basic Qualifications
* Typically requires a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Basic to Intermediate MS Excel skills such as pivot tables, filters, and sorts to work with large data sets performing analysis and monthly manual spreadsheet report in support of monthly invoice.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of accounting principles and cash management.
* Experience with financial reporting systems, Deltek Costpoint.

* Demonstrated communication skills.
* Collaboration with teams, managers and/or clients.
* Organization skills, including time management ability.
* Detail oriented.
