Pantheon Data (a Kenific Holding company) is a private, small business based in the Washington, DC, area. Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Our service offerings have grown in the past ten years, including infrastructure resiliency, contact center operations, information technology, software engineering, program management, strategic communications, engineering, and cybersecurity. We have also grown our customer base to include commercial clients. The company has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal Civilian Agencies.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of IT Infrastructure to lead and oversee the design, implementation, and management of our organization's IT infrastructure. The Director will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of all IT systems, networks, and data centers. This role requires strategic thinking, leadership, and hands-on expertise in technology operations, along with the ability to align IT infrastructure with business goals.

Responsibilities



  • Cloud Transformation & Strategy: Lead the transition of Pantheon Data's infrastructure to cloud-based solutions, following a SaaS-first approach. Define and drive the technology roadmap, focusing on cloud hosting consolidation, platform engineering, and system scalability.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Build, mentor, and manage high-performance teams across IT infrastructure, network, systems engineering, and IT operations. Drive talent development and foster a collaborative, innovative environment.
  • Strategic IT Roadmap: Establish and implement a clear and future-proof technology infrastructure roadmap to meet business needs. Collaborate with senior management to align IT strategy with broader organizational goals.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with external IT vendors and service providers. Lead negotiations, establish SLAs, and ensure that vendors meet performance and security standards.
  • Budget & Financial Oversight: Own the IT operational and CAPEX budgets for infrastructure services. Ensure efficient resource allocation and cost-effective delivery of IT services.
  • Policy & Compliance: Partner with our Legal, Cyber, and Security teams to enforce IT policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, including CMMC, FedRAMP, ISO27001, SOC2 Type1, and others. Work closely with the Information Security team to mitigate risks and maintain security standards.
  • Audit & Reporting: Oversee internal and external audits related to IT infrastructure and collaborate with Internal Audit teams to ensure compliance. Provide regular reports on performance, goals, and strategic initiatives to the CIO and other executives.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest trends in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and service management to continuously evolve Riverbed's infrastructure capabilities.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement across IT operations, optimizing processes to ensure high levels of uptime, performance, and user satisfaction.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Proven experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GovCloud, Azure/GCC High, virtualization, and networking).
  • In-depth knowledge of IT security frameworks and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of servers, storage solutions, network architecture, and cloud services.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools and monitoring systems (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, AWS Control Tower, PowerShell Scripting, Azure Virtual Desktop)
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.), databases, and enterprise applications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven track record of driving infrastructure projects to completion on time and within budget.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining continued compliance in programs with FedRAMP, CMMC, and ISO standards.


Certifications (Preferred but not required):



  • ITIL, PMP, or other project management certifications.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent security certifications.


Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field (or equivalent relevant work experience).
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 10 years in leadership roles managing complex, global IT environments.
  • Cloud & IT Infrastructure Expertise:
  • Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid infrastructures.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
