Job Title: Network Specialist Location with zip code: Centreville, VA 20120 Duration: 6 Months Pay Rate: $50/hr. to $55/hr. on W2 without benefits Shift Timing: Mon-Fri.: 7:30am-4pm Job Description: Collaborate with network architects to design and implement functional company networks. Install and configure networking hardware (Cisco and Palo Alto). Provision and manage Internet circuits (DIA\Broadband) for field offices. Design and coordinate implementation of the cable plant for field offices. Travel to field office for network implementation. Process network maintenance renewals. Manage network support issues within ticketing system. Have knowledge of new IT Infrastructure technologies, processes, methodologies and best practices. Manage infrastructure projects, including gathering requirements, design, build, implementation and project management. Perform post-implementation follow-ups to ensure infrastructure stability. Required Education: 4-year degree in Computer related curriculum and 3-7 years of hands on network experience installing\configuring network devices . Those candidates without a degree will be required to have an additional 5 years of relevant experience for consideration. Certifications: Cisco Professional Certifications preferred (CCNA, CCNP). Required Skills: Solid background in network administration and configuration (switches\routers). Understanding of network operating systems (e.g. Cisco IOS, Cisco NX-IOS). Understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF). Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g. Logic Monitor). Sharp troubleshooting skills. Knowledge and understanding of industry best practices and methodologies. Understanding of project delivery within an Agile framework. An understanding of the strategic impacts of enterprise initiatives, the supporting IT systems and architecture. Ability to facilitate the integration of all infrastructure technologies that will support the global reach of the Parsons enterprise. Written and oral communication skills appropriate to communicate with a wide variety of individuals (employees and all levels of management) throughout the organization and outside of the organization (i.e. clients, vendors). Ability to work independently with minimal direction or oversight. Preferred experience with scripting and automation (e.g. Python, Ansible). Preferred experience with SDWAN technology.
