Our Practice is a part of TeamVision, a Management Service Organization withinEssilorLuxottica, a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of ophthalmic lenses, frames, and sunglasses.Together, we provide operational excellence to eyecare professionals with an aim to be the leading eye care provider in our community.

GENERAL FUNCTION

This role supports the practice through manufacturing eyewear in accordance with Company standards. This position ensures speed and reliability of service in manufacturing patient eyewear. This role supports establishing the practice as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Produces quality eyewear through utilizing the Quality Manufacturing Program (QMP) that includes lab ordering and in office finishing, edging, mounting, and final inspecting.
  • Responsible for basic operation, cleaning and ongoing maintenance of laboratory tools and equipment using established QMP maintenance procedures and calendars. Diagnoses and solves equipment issues in conjunction with the diagnostics team, when needed.
  • Strives to improve technical knowledge through the completion of the Quality Manufacturing Program and continually applies that knowledge in the production of all eyewear.
  • Utilizes product knowledge to determine the best manufacturing process for both routine and special orders to ensure the production of top quality eyewear in accordance within expected delivery time.
  • Attentive to detail with all measurements, calculations, equipment settings and defective product.
  • Takes initiative to notice and follow up on discrepancies; suggests improvements, recommends solutions and does what is necessary to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Reviews optical lens meaurements and diagnose vision care needs.
  • Operates point-of-sale (POS) and lab application software, inputting all lab statistics with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strives to achieve exceptional results that align with practice priorities.
  • Drives top line performance and bottom line optimization and profitability.
  • Takes pride in the appearance of the practice and shows initiative in keeping the lab and stock room clean, organized and safe.
  • Complies with all safety and regulatory requirements ensuring supplies/chemicals are stored and used per chemical safety program. Keeps management informed of potential safety opportunities (i.e. broken tiles, equipment, etc.).
  • Demonstrates safe work practices including the wearing of personal protective equipment while in the lab.
  • Works weekends and evenings in support of the business needs (varies by location).
  • Adheres to attendance and daily time keeping requirements.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Consistently maintains proper dress code.
  • Performs other functions as assigned by Practice Manager or as business needs.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Strong customer service skills (internal and external)
  • Strong communicator and listener
  • Organizational skills



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Optical training
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in optical
  • Experience with machinery

Pay Range: 21.40-30.14

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
