Essential Functions

  • Collaborates with outside vendors for all Campus Dining venues, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions. Provides regular feedback to the vendor as to whether they are meeting service expectations.
  • Provides periodic updates on compliance to University management. Interacts with students and other users of Campus Dining facilities to obtain feedback on vendor performance.
  • Assists the Director of Campus Dining in developing and implementing strategic and operational goals for Campus Dining. Assesses current operations, performs trends analysis, identifies needs, underserved areas or populations on campus and provides ideas for the future.
  • Provides oversight for meal plan administration systems, ensuring that students, faculty and staff have access to dining plans, can easily make changes and have access to their balances.
  • Represents Campus Dining at various events across campus and can clearly communicate with students, parents and various campus stakeholders about Campus Dining initiatives, philosophy, utilization etc.
  • Provides oversight for various renovation and/or new construction projects in dining spaces, ensuring that they are kept on time and on budget.
  • Regularly inspects dining controlled facilities, providing feedback when deficiencies are found and follows up to make sure corrections have been made.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business, or relevant field.
  • 5 years of experience in restaurant management and/or hospitality management with at least one year of experience hiring, developing, supervising, and evaluating staff.
