Position Summary:

Oversee the functions necessary for daily operation of the business, including record keeping, maintenance, training and customer service. Provide functional direct or indirect supervision to two or more full-time employees within the District (Operations Administrator, Stockroom Associate, Delivery Scheduler). Responsibilities may include the oversight of more than one facility and/or district. This position will be an individual contributor role that would perform the job duties of the Operations Administrators as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate communications and operational procedures within the Design Center.
  • Conduct daily and month-end reviews and audits of processes and transactions to ensure all are accurately recorded, reconciled and properly deposited.
  • Check that all monthly batch postings have been completed prior to month end process.
  • Resolve Accounts Receivable issues.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries by contacting factories and internal departments
  • Monitor workroom related transactions, logs, and review open order report as needed.
  • Coordinate delivered sales and labor invoices to make sure they are booked in the same fiscal period.
  • Assist with cycle counts and review/research variances as needed.
  • Provide direction and support to appropriate personnel and evaluate accordingly (insight to Design Center Leader for annual reviews, coach, counsel and train).
  • May be responsible for monitoring inventories at various locations within assigned districts.
  • May coordinates facility maintenance at assigned locations.
  • Manage customer service issues in partnership with the Market Design Leader, Design Center Leader, and Customer Service Manager.
  • Train design consultants on clean selling practices.
  • Track and take steps to improve gross margin.
  • Work with Operations Administrators at the design center to gather quotes needed for design center maintenance and put proposals/CapEx together for MDL/VP review and approval.
  • Maintain listing of all fixed assets.
  • Analyze reports and put corrective measures in place to strengthen the business.
  • Must work on weekends at the discretion of immediate supervisor.
  • Be a liaison between other Operations Administrators and Market Design Leader/Operations Logistics Leader/Territory Design Leader/Regional Design Leader on issues and questions.


Knowledge, skills, and abilities:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, or related field with minimum of one (1) year of experience in a business environment including some experience in customer service OR High School diploma/equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in lieu of a college degree.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Good communications skills with the ability to make decisions and resolve customer problems. Must be well-organized, able to work independently, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to use good judgment independently in responding to unusual demands or situations.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, except in limited circumstances in which the associate can establish to the Company's satisfaction that they have available, for use during all business hours, an alternate means of transportation not requiring the operation of a motor vehicle which will enable them to perform the duties of their position.


Compensation

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $26.00 to $29.00, depending on experience.
