Description

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to organize and oversee the manufacturing of Radiation Monitoring Systems (RMS) equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of all production and the quality of output. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.




ESSENTIAL DUTIES:



FREQUENCY



Structure engineering projects in SAP including breakdown of equipment, engineering, and assembly resources.



Semi-weekly



Organize and track all incoming RMS customer orders to determine procurement and production needs and timing.



Weekly



Ensure that all customer orders are properly entered in SAP and coordinate with procurement to ensure materials are ordered on time.



Daily



Coordinate with managers to meet workflow requirements.



Daily



With finance and management, update the backlog report to reflect pull-ins and pushouts.



Monthly



Schedule and coordinate workflow on the production floor based on the current backlog report.



Weekly



Providing asset specific input to the end-to-end supply chain processes and ensuring planning master data (safety stock, lead times) in SAP is accurate and up to date.



Daily



Tracking part shortages and keeping everyone aware of them and their impact.



Daily



Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.).



Daily



Process purchase requestion (PR) in SAP for projects and recurring parts orders.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:




Expertise in production planning and management activities and general use and navigation of SAP is a critical requirement for this position.



Deep knowledge of production management.



Experience in reporting on key production metrics.



Requires the ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals.



Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.



Experience in shop fabrication or assembly environment, either electronic or mechanical, is desirable.



Experience with instrumentation and control systems is desirable.



Proficiency in the use of computers and software packages including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc...); above-average skill in Excel is desirable.



US Citizen or legal permanent resident.



Will be required to pass a pre-employment background check.

Experience with nuclear industry supplier(s) is desirable.



This position requires an established and robust knowledge of managing production and procurement activities in a manufacturing environment.

BS Degree or equivalent from an accredited university in a relevant discipline such as manufacturing, procurement, engineering, or similar. Other educational background coupled with relevant experience will be considered.



To possess the necessary aptitude to perform the duties of the position, as a result of either a formal education or direct field experience, or a combination of both.
