Amplify is seeking a strategic and empathic Senior Curriculum Manager to help facilitate the development and implementation of science curriculum programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education and standards (NGSS, TEKS, etc) and experience in curriculum design, especially in a tech-enabled context. The Senior Curriculum Manager will report to the Associate Director of Curriculum for science.

Amplify's science programs, used by over 5 million students and teachers, are designed for real classrooms. The ideal candidate will have experience bridging pedagogical best practices with practical constraints to create curricula built for the realities of teaching and learning.

Essential Responsibilities of the Senior Curriculum Manager, Science:

Curriculum Review

  • Review and verify all curriculum content is scientifically accurate, coherent, high-quality, and aligned with product principles.

  • Review and ensure that content is concise and the wording and amount of text is age appropriate.

  • Provide actionable feedback to a team of curriculum developers.

  • Incorporate best practices in pedagogy, including innovative technology and hands-on activities.

Team Leadership

  • Manage a team of 3-4 curriculum reviewers.

  • Assist in facilitating daily team stand-ups.

  • Provide training and feedback to team members.

  • Help foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.

  • Ensure that deliverables are on time and team documentation is kept up to date (e.g., development logs).

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with content partners and ensure feedback delivered is consistent and appropriate.

  • Work effectively across a cross-functional team with diverse priorities and focus areas, e.g., Curriculum, Design, Editorial/Authoring Guidelines, Project Management, Product Management, and Interaction Developers.

Minimum Qualifications of the Senior Curriculum Manager, Science:
  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of experience in curriculum development

  • Expertise with science curricula, standards, and pedagogical trends

  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills

  • Comfort using Google Suite products

  • Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in science and education

Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Curriculum of the Senior Curriculum Manager, Science:
  • Teaching experience in traditional classroom environments and/or experience with science educational content

  • Experience working with educational technology

What we offer:

Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a 401(k) plan, stock options, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $95,000 - $105,000. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
