Job Title: Social worker Location: Milwaukie ,OR 97222 Duration: 3 months with possible extension Shift hours: 8 am - 4 pm- Monday - Friday Job Description: The District Social Worker serves as the McKinney-Vento Liaison and Foster Care Point of Contact for NCSD. The position is responsible for leading the McKinney-Vento team and supporting the needs of the students facing unstable housing situations or in foster care. This support involves communicating with school staff, identifying and assessing eligibility of students, and providing resources for students who qualify for McKinney-Vento services and their families such as requesting transportation through the NCSD Transportation Department, advocating for students and their families, and linking students and families to supports in schools and in the community. Required Education: Bachelor's degree in social work (BSW)
