Pay

Salaried grade 9, 11 or 12
$83,800 - $121,200 year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Actual salaries may vary and in some cases may be higher with extensive experience and strong performance.

Schedule

1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

Hybrid-remote with minimum two days on-site per week

Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Business Project Manager to join our Planning & Order Fulfillment team. In this role, you will manage projects from initiation to completion, utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate. You'll collaborate with development teams, cross-functional groups, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. You'll apply your project management skills across different systems and functional areas within the company, driving change, meeting evolving expectations, and embracing diverse perspectives.

Success in this role requires a strong enthusiasm for learning new systems, technologies, and methodologies, along with a deep understanding of the unique needs of various business units. You will play a key role in driving business process improvements and overseeing supply chain system projects that deliver tangible value to McKee Foods.

  • Identify and document project needs, requirements, scope, budget, and resources
  • Create key project documentation, including charters, user stories, and roadmaps
  • Plan and manage schedules using tools like Microsoft Project
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with scope, budget, and schedule
  • Manage scope changes and engage external consultants or vendors as needed
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and use metrics like velocity and burn-down charts
  • Apply Agile methodologies for iterative project delivery and backlog management
  • Assemble and lead teams, fostering collaboration and clear communication with stakeholders
  • Coach team members on Agile practices, creating a self-organizing and productive culture
  • Address conflicts constructively to maintain a positive team environment
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project success
  • Facilitate retrospectives to improve team processes and project outcomes
  • Uphold Agile values, promoting adaptability, customer focus, and continuous improvement
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, keeping them informed and aligned with project objectives
  • Develop expertise in business systems and functional operations to better support project goals
  • Serve as a Product Owner or Scrum Master on Agile development projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience and proven outstanding ability (2 years of experience = 1 year of education)
  • At least 3 years of experience in coordinating projects
  • Basic understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and frameworks (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, Scrum)
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the organization's key processes and functions, ensuring that projects are aligned with the company's strategic objectives
  • Exhibits a proven ability to influence and inspire others, lead and manage change, execute a vision, and apply strong investigative and problem-solving skills to achieve results

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three to five years experience managing supply chain or business system projects
  • Experience successfully serving as a product owner or scrum master in an agile development environment
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Training and certification in agile development from Scrum.org
  • Experience working for McKee Foods
