GENERAL FUNCTION
The Supply Chain Demand Planner oversees a group of customers, for which he/she is responsible for developing a monthly lens forecast that will drive plant production and service to market.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for delivering monthly forecast for his/her customer scope, at product level per month on a rolling 24-month horizon.
- Maintain close relationships with his/her customers and develop collaborative processes cross functionally with other supply chain teams.
- Responsible for executing forecast changes in Aperia (forecasting tool) choosing the right horizon, and optimal statistical computation based on products and customers' history.
- Responsible for analyzing sales trend and sales vs forecast, understanding the market, and be able to identify anomalies and challenge/adjust statistical forecast.
- Analyze abnormal orders by understanding root cause with customer and work with Customer Service and Inventory planning to define best delivery dates and make relevant decisions on orders management.
- Responsible for managing distribution keys for his/her scope of products for each distribution center.
- Manage new product forecast implementations and product lifecycle (cannibalization, phase in, phase out)
- Communicate properly any trend adjustment or DK change to DC inventory planning team so they adjust the inventory level.
- In charge of analyzing at macro level trends on his/her scope (customer dimension and product dimension) and present/explain growth rates to Management.
- Compile, publish, and monitor essential KPI's and develop/execute corrective actions when outside established boundaries.
- Engage in continuous improvement, help identify and promote best practices in the team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, such as Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business is required; equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- Min 2-3 years' experience in Demand Planning/Supply Chain Planning functions is required.
- APICS certification is a plus.
- Attention to details is required, as well as ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Extensive experience in Microsoft Applications, especially with Excel
- Strong ability to communicate effectively and professionally in verbal and written form to internal/external customers, all management levels, team members and co-workers.
- Flexibility in work assignments to accommodate group and individual goals.
- Ability to work with all members of working groups, skill levels and expertise.
- Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize work and perform under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
