This position will serve as an instructor of a core requirement for students in the Music Education program. Salary commensurate with applicant qualifications and experience. Responsibilities will include teaching trumpet, trombone, French horn, euphonium and tuba as secondary instruments to music education majors and providing them with the pedagogical skills necessary to teach brass instruments to elementary, middle and high school students in classroom and ensemble settings. Applicants should have an established reputation as a performer and teacher with expertise in the skills necessary to nurture future music educators. A post-baccalaureate degree is preferred. Applications should include a letter stating interest in the position and a philosophy of teaching, comprehensive resume or curriculum vitae, online audio and/or video links representing the applicant's playing and teaching, and names and contact information for at least three professional references.
