General Position Overview

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for leading and driving process improvement initiatives within the manufacturing operations. This role focuses on identifying opportunities for enhancement, implementing effective strategies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality

Essential Job Functions

  • Demonstrate SoundOff Signal's Core Values in daily interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Develop and implement a continuous improvement strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to address manufacturing challenges and drive operational excellence.
  • Set clear, measurable goals for process improvement and track progress against these goals.
  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to develop and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from inception through completion.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and ensure the successful delivery of improvement initiatives.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports on project status, performance metrics, and improvement outcomes to senior management.
  • Train and mentor employees on continuous improvement principles, tools, and techniques.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement throughout the organization.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt) a plus.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in continuous improvement roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully leading and implementing improvement projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

  • Mostly office environment, occasional light manufacturing environment
  • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Low noise level in a temperature-controlled setting
  • Some level of domestic and/or international travel may be required
  • May work remotely
  • Mostly normal business hours with occasional need to flex hours
