Join us as our newest Safety Coordinator!

In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety and health/hygiene programs in accordance with federal and local regulations and internal company

  • Maintain timely communication of these programs to the staff and effectively inform and train employees. Ensure that appropriate records are developed, maintained, and updated in accordance with all federal, local, and internal requirements

  • Manage and provide regulatory compliance support including management of consulting and service companies providing auditing, permitting, and other regulatory support

  • Manage preparation of permit applications and perform related follow- up negotiations with regulatory officials and inspectors.

  • Plan and maintain records for on-going employee health screening schedules and maintain any medical records in accordance with federal HIPPA regulations.

  • Manage the industrial hygiene plan, conduct monitoring in the workplace, and recommend alternatives to reduce hazards.

  • Provide system support for safety and health programs, like Capture and continuous improvement building safety culture. Own safety KPIs.

  • Maintain organized safety records and communicate metrics to the workforce and management.

  • Opens and tracks worker's compensation claims and communicates with worker's compensation carrier regarding compensable injuries. Coordinate with external physicians and managers/supervisors regarding work restrictions and potential temporary accommodations

  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

To succeed you must hold:

  • Minimum 3 years' work experience in related industrial production field.

  • Prefer experience with OSHA system, risk assessment, or industrial hygiene.

  • Person should have excellent computer skills in Windows environment (Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint).

  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Ability to engage, communicate with, and positively influence others across the entire workforce.

  • Possess visual acuity and physical/motor abilities to perform key responsibilities to include ability to climb stairs/ladders, inspect tanks/equipment internally and externally, and conduct safety inspections of plant building and surroundings. Ability to utilize PPE including respirators.

Expected salary range: $64,700-$90,000
