Role/Purpose: The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for providing key support for the accuracy and timeliness of the monthly financial reporting, analysis and controls as well as playing a key role in analyzing, reporting, correcting and communicating variances, cost fluctuations, and inventory balances. This position will support the Finance Management Team in driving improvements across the organization by providing analysis for the decision-making process and deriving actions. Additionally, this position will lead a variety of local initiatives to drive improvements in the overall business performance by providing detailed analysis to the key management stakeholders and coordinating cross-departmental improvements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Focuses on analyzing results and partnering w/ PIUS-MO staff leadership Correlates data across various reports and systems to find trends, forward looking indicators, and root causes Conducts analysis both at the micro and macro levels Provides key support in monthly management reporting Provides key support for the accuracy and timeliness of the monthly and annual closing and the related financial reporting such as journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations Provides key support of management reporting and analysis including but not limited to sales, margins/costs, expenses, sales forecasts, and balance sheet trends and assists explaining/documenting key fluctuations vs. prior year, budget, and forecast Supporting the compilation and development of financial reporting and analysis Responsible for building accurate reporting of inventory and cost of goods sold in acordance with U.S. GAAP Liaise and collaborate with stakeholders at different levels across the organization Significant active participation in the financial planning and budgeting processes Support strategic initiates as a key contributor from the definition to project management Other duties or tasks as assigned What You Need to Succeed Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent computer skills: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Hyperion, ERP System Excellent organizational skills and analytical ability Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization Must be detail oriented and accurate with data and reporting while maintaining confidentiality where necessary Builds trust, able to engage in a productive conflict, committed, self-accountable, and able to drive collectives results Flexible, humble, self-motivated, diligent, demonstrates common sense about people, and able to prioritize Minimum Education / Experience Required: BS/BA in Accounting / Finance (CPA and/or MBA preferred) Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting / financial analysis SAP experience (required minimum 3 years at recent job) / BI experience (preferred) Our Offer to You Medical, dental and vision care coverage and a 401(k) savings plan with company matching - all starting on date of hire Tuition reimbursement, educational matching gift program, perks and discounts All the usual benefits such as paid time off, flexible spending, short-and long-term disability, basic life insurance, business travel insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and domestic partner benefits Global market strength and worldwide leadership in weighing A brand name that is identified worldwide with precision, quality, and innovation Thousands of patents, design and innovation awards A commitment to extraordinary service on our state-of-the-art equipment About Mettler Toledo Working at Mettler Toledo means you are impacting the world in important ways.
