Role Profile

The Product Leader (PL) is responsible for leading the product and pricing teams. Their responsibilities include defining the Product Plan(s) and managing the portfolio of products that are required by the Market and Market Segment Plans (includes quality, regulatory, and supply chain cost activities). Leading global pricing team for CASE, which is responsible for pricing execution of all CASE products. Additionally, the Product Leader is a key member of the Auto & Deco SBULT leadership team and is expected to jointly lead key decisions for the segments with other SBULT leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Develops the Product Plan(s) aligned to support the Market and Market Segment Plans.
  • Partners with Commercial leadership and sales team to drive insight-based actions, and knowledge transfer driving optimal customer engagement and choices.
  • Manages the product portfolio as assigned, both strategic and operational oversight; including: MGPP alongside Technology, product lifecycle, formula rationalization, and product obsolescence
  • Orchestrates offer execution including pricing excellence and contract execution (e.g., setting of prices within bands, setting price and margin targets based on customer segmentation, price protections, competitive price analyses, terms and conditions, etc.). As required, leads development on new offer elements.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains asset strategy, long term supply demand outlook and manages asset allocation to deliver business results.Engages with AMS to ensure optimized supply mix.
  • Champion/support continuous improvement and capital projects needed to increase capacity, increase yields, improve variable and fixed costs and/or otherwise improve the capability and profitability of our assets, including deep stream and operations engagement for improved economics.
  • Drives efforts to increase customer loyalty by assuring product quality, regulatory, service and customer specification requirements including CIM approvals and response.
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of the fact base for assigned products - including all aspects of competitive intelligence (including but not limited to cost curve development, trade flow tracking and analysis, profiles, utilization estimates, etc.)
  • Ensures IBP plans are executed, and global networks maintained in alignment with market, segment and product plans
  • Leads / coaches a team of direct reports (e.g., Pricing Leaders and /or Analysts) and/or cross-functional team through stream, product line team, IBP routine engagement, pricing tool management etc.
  • Product and Pricing compliance
  • Key member of Stage Gate Team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in technical or marketing discipline required.
  • MBA degree with an emphasis in marketing is preferred.
  • 6-10 years prior experience in sales, technical service, marketing, product management, and supply chain
  • Rotated through at least one of the following (at EMN or a prior company)
  • Pricing Manager
  • Commercial Leadership Development Program (MBA and 5 years prior work experience required)
  • Segment Market Manager
