We have a great opportunity for a Lab Supervisor (Resident Professional) to join our team in the Mobile, Alabama area.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations on a variety of test & measurement equipment
  • Schedule workload to ensure staff efficiency, Turn Around Time, customer satisfaction, and Playbook goals
  • Managing staff scheduling and overtime to appropriately balance customer expectations and resource efficiency
  • Provide operational support to customer for production and metrology related activities
  • Provide periodic reports and support to Key Account Management for operational goals and KPI's
  • Resolve metrology related challenges with the technical team members
  • Support periodic audits, review and evaluate warranties
  • Manage training & mentoring of technicians to assure technical competence across multiple disciplines.
  • Promote cooperation and coordination among employees and customer to facilitate teamwork in the lab
  • Provide input for strategic planning of services and procedures to achieve continuous service improvement
  • Managing calibration of lab standards
  • Provide Operations support to Management and Key Account Managers as requested to improve current climate and pursue new business opportunities
  • Communicate with peers at other Trescal labs to coordinate team support and services

Requirements

  • Military training and experience (PMEL or TMDE or GPETE or Electronics) OR an Associate's Degree in Electronics (or related technical field) OR equivalent work experience & training
  • Minimum of 5 years experience calibrating test & measurement equipment (in a commercial or military calibration lab)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience leading or supervising technicians either in a commercial or military calibration lab.
  • Experienced in calibrating several disciplines of test and measurement equipment and calibration of a variety of devices such as:

o Electronics

o Thermodynamics

o Pressure

o Mass

o Physical Dimensional

o Mechanical

  • Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
  • Good Organizational skills, meticulous with details, and ability to multitask
  • Excellent coworker communication and mentoring skills to inspire and promote efficient productivity
  • Excellent client communication skills to resolve issues and promote confidence in the Trescal organization
  • Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Internet research, data entry, etc.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000, cGMP, and General Industrial Safety Practices preferred
  • Experience using calibration management and automation software preferred
