The Gashouse\Line Lead (aka Operator Technician) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machines that are used for the manufacture of finished goods.

The Operator Technician is responsible for change overs, certain Operator Equipment Care tasks, and basic equipment troubleshooting. An Operator Technician should generally be able to keep their station running without Maintenance assistance. The machines operate at rates ranging from 100 units per minute to 250+ units per minute. The work environment is very fast paced and requires a high degree of attentiveness and the ability to react quickly to workplace variables. In addition to operating machines, operators will have duties and responsibilities as outlined below.

$1.00/hr Shift Premium

This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and vendors.




  • Observe safety and security rules/regulations and avoid equipment hazards as defined in operating instructions.
  • Ensure maximum productivity of operation by efficiently and effectively performing job responsibilities.
  • Perform continuous safety inspections on all operating equipment in assigned area.
  • Report all machine maintenance issues and safety hazards/conditions to immediate supervisor and lead person.
  • Report any quality issues to immediate supervisor or QA lab personnel.
  • Maintain clean and orderly housekeeping practices in work area.
  • Record and report essential operations data such as volumes, weights, SPC, ISO, material type, hourly monitors etc., as deemed necessary by management.
  • Possess necessary skills and knowledge to cover/assist in any area of Production as directed by supervision.
  • Train new employees as requested.
  • Responsible for setting up equipment for production runs. (Change overs)
  • Responsible for basic Operator Equipment Care tasks on equipment such as greasing equipment and cleaning (photo eye's, reflectors, etc.)
  • Responsible for maintaining a high housekeeping standard on the work stations assigned.
  • Clear jams on equipment.
  • Check for/report wear items on equipment (belts, broken flights on conveyors, missing guards etc.)
  • Must be willing to work any shift or overtime hours as needed including Saturday and Sunday.
  • Must be willling to be trained on any and all Top Level stations including:
  • Machine Operator (all stations)
  • Line Lead (both sides)
  • Gashouse (both sides)


Minimum Requirements:



  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment visa status
  • Must have one (1) year of experience operating machinery in manufacturing and/or distribution environment



Preferred Qualifications:



  • At least have an associate's degree or higher
  • At least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising other, or leading teams
