The DME Technician/Driver is responsible for delivery and set up of medical equipment and supplies. In addition, some warehouse duties are included.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

1. DME Technician will deliver and set up equipment. In addition, will instruct patient/care-giver on basic use and maintenance of equipment when appropriate.
2. DME Technician will adhere to the Tidewell Hospice policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations. This includes TJC accreditation standards, HIPPA requirements, OSHA and AHCA standards etc.
3. DME Technician will assist in various warehouse duties, i.e., cleaning equipment and maintaining stock.
4. DME Technician will maintain accurate delivery logs, oxygen manifest, delivery tickets and all other related paperwork.
5. DME Technician will be responsible for maintaining assigned vehicle in a clean and orderly fashion.
6. Adhere to driver safety guidelines.
7. Other duties as assigned by DME Manager.

Qualifications:

* Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Valid Florida Driver's License and driving record that qualifies as acceptable as per insurance requirements.
* Knowledge of DME preferred.
* Basic mechanical skills.
* Knowledge of Sarasota, Manatee, Desoto and Charlotte County streets.
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to complete routine paperwork.
* Participate in an on call rotation.
