Overview
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States. The Director of Risk Management leads the approach and resources to provide second line risk oversight to the first line horizontally and vertically throughout the First Citizens Bank related to business disruption risk. This leader is a strategic partner to the Senior Director, Risk Management for Business Disruption. In this role, the Director must demonstrate deep and broad experience related to operational resilience including business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis / incident management, facilities, recovery, and resolution. This leader must understand operational risk foundational principles and frameworks, FFIEC interagency guidance, FDIC, and FRB expectations commensurate for large financial institutions. This role drives organizational change through the development and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management and Operational Risk Management frameworks. Oversees metrics, data, and reporting that enhances the identification and management of risk. Directs the effective monitoring and enhancement of frameworks through innovative tools or processes. Responsible for administration of technology solutions as well as the Operational Risk Event, Third Party Risk Management, and Loss Monitoring programs. Builds influential relationships with senior management and supports management or board committees. Provides expert consultation on risk metrics, monitoring, reporting, and technology solutions in order to improve framework capabilities. Develops collaborative partnerships with internal departments, external auditors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to enhance cross-functional risk management capabilities. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Enterprise Risk or Operational Risk and Project Management or Consulting (internal or external) OR High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Enterprise Risk or Operational Risk and Project Management or Consulting (internal or external) Required Skills:

Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
