A Taste of What You'll Do We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Technical Brewer to join our team, committed to crafting products of the highest quality. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate efforts to ensure that both internal and external manufacturing and quality specifications are met, driving improvements in a cost-effective and efficient manner. This position serves as the company's front-line resource, ensuring our manufacturing plants, co-manufacturers, and suppliers meet our high standards. Your comprehensive knowledge of the beer brewing process, scientific principles, and brewing calculations will be essential as you lead Gallo Co-Manufacturing teams and support external co-manufacturers. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting production issues, traveling to Co-Man sites for new production, and building strong business relationships to ensure quality and consistency. Tasting beer to ensure style attainment and providing recommendations for quality improvements will be a key part of your role. You will oversee CIP, sanitizing principles, pasteurization, bottling and canning lines, and kegging equipment to maintain liquid quality. A thorough understanding of TTB regulations for alcoholic beverages and an ability to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations are crucial. You will manage beer quality at a fundamental level, ensuring team members understand style targets and quality goals. As a Technical Brewer, you will drive the development of new products and innovation, staying abreast of the latest trends and advancements in brewing technology. Leading continuous improvement projects with cross-functional teams, you'll apply process control, RCA, process mapping, and lean management/Six Sigma principles. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, with significant experience in high-speed, multi-SKU beverage manufacturing and brewing facility management. Strong quality assurance experience and a valid driver's license are required. The role requires up to 40% travel and the ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
