The Member Services Assistant at Rombauer Vineyards delivers exceptional customer service to boost member and guest retention. They ensure the brand is well-represented and foster consumer loyalty, providing general support for all winery inquiries received via phone, text, or email. Maintain the member database's integrity and manage all consumer activities. Strong customer service skills are a must with excellence communication and attention to detail and ability to maintain a high volume of inquiries.

Membership Integrity (30%):

  • Drive club acquisition and maintain retention.
  • Ensure the success of club packages and handle special requests.
  • Build and nurture long-lasting relationships with members.
  • Proactively maintain up-to-date member records through phone calls, emails, postcards, and texts.

Order Maintenance (30%):

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of our product range.
  • Process orders through various channels and ensure compliance.
  • Manage high-volume club package orders, track DTC shipping and delivery status, and resolve delivery issues.
  • Stay updated on state regulations and communicate with customers to prevent returned shipments and refunds.

General Customer Service (25%):

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and foster personal connections with consumers, prioritizing the Joy of Wine.
  • Serve as a guest concierge, offering local directions and information about attractions and internal experiences at each winery location.
  • Handle a high volume of calls company-wide and execute outbound campaigns to maintain brand connection and loyalty through calls, emails, and texts.

Marketing Promotions and Events (10%):

  • Stay informed about current DTC and wholesale promotions through DTC Digital campaigns.
  • Manage ticket sales for events, including details and availability during the sale period.
  • Provide on-site support during member-only events as needed.

Reservations (5%):

  • Have a comprehensive understanding of tasting experiences at all winery locations, including seasonal variations.
  • Serve as a guest concierge, providing local directions and information about attractions, and offering alternative options when we are unable to accommodate guest requests.

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of retail sales, hospitality,sales support, marketing support, administrative support, or customer service experiencereflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Associates Degree plus 1 year of retail sales,hospitality, sales support, marketing support, administrative support or customer serviceexperience; OR Bachelor's Degree plus retail sales, hospitality, sales support, marketing support,administrative support or customer service experience.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Outlook at an intermediate level.
  • Skilled in effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups ofmanagers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, shortcorrespondence and memos.
  • Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
  • Required to lift and move cases of product weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Required to be legal US drinking age: 21 years of age or older
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training,meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of thetime, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, ifapplicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable,as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 1 year of retail sales, hospitality, sales support, marketing support,administrative support or customer service experience.
  • Wine sales or Wine club administration experience.
  • Wine Industry knowledge.

Compensation:

  • Hiring Range Posted: $25.24/hr - $34.09/hr
  • Plus incentives!
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
