Work Location - This position will be based in our Modesto Cellar Administration building and requires working on-site with no telecommuting option. You will be expected to live within a commutable distance.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Site Compliance Analyst to join our team at E & J Gallo. In this role, you will analyze and oversee regulatory programs and activities related to alcohol beverage production and operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and international laws, industry codes, and company policies. Your keen eye for detail and proactive approach will help monitor regulatory developments and interpret their potential impacts on our organization.

As a Site Compliance Analyst, you will support winemaking and spirits-making operational compliance functions covered by government regulations. You will be responsible for reconciling bulk and finished goods inventories, preparing, signing, and submitting monthly reports to regulatory agencies as an Attorney-In-Fact. Additionally, you will maintain winery licenses and permits, plant registrations, and bonds as applicable, ensuring all compliance-related files, records, and documentation are up to date and in accordance with federal and state regulations.

Your role will involve reviewing contracts to ensure compliance with internal policies and alcohol beverage laws, identifying and participating in the resolution of non-compliance situations. You will collaborate cross-functionally to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders and business partners, responding to compliance questions, developing conclusions, providing feedback, and achieving shared objectives. Participation in government interactions, inspections, and regulatory actions will be crucial, as will researching and interpreting federal and state regulations to provide compliance recommendations.

You will also play a key role in identifying compliance gaps and coordinating scalable solutions, participating in the development of professional training on alcohol beverage and tax laws, and delivering regulatory compliance training to new team members and cross-functional teams. Your ability to identify, communicate, and develop recommendations to mitigate regulatory risk, including contingency planning, will be essential.

You will conduct tasks or projects independently, ensure understanding and compliance with applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulations, and maintain satisfactory attendance. What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience regulatory compliance, government administration, quality assurance, life sciences, alcohol beverage product making, finance, or auditing with responsibilities that included compliance functions reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of experience regulatory compliance, government administration, quality assurance, life sciences, alcohol beverage product making, finance, or auditing with responsibilities that included compliance functions reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Program Suite at an intermediate level.
  • Ability to self-start, prioritize and meet strict deadlines while maintaining good judgement and professional relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability as a critical thinker.
  • Reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and/or governmental regulations.
  • Document research and review, document filing with local authorities.
  • Effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Applying established procedures to non-routine situations requiring some evaluation, originality or ingenuity.
  • Working on multiple projects at one time and organizing them appropriately.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Finance, Accounting, Biology, or Chemistry plus 5 years of experience regulatory compliance, government administration, quality assurance, life sciences, alcohol beverage product making, finance, or auditing with responsibilities that included compliance functions reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of and experience with applying the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of this field of specialization.
  • Writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community
  • Working with all levels and functions within the company.

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $67,000 - $100,400 Annually
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
