Sr. Cloud Ops Engineer

Design, implement and manage cloud-based systems. Build and configure virtual networks, deploy, and manage cloud based applications and ensure the security and availability of the cloud infrastructure. Help Lead CloudOps team. Serve as CloudOps team escalation for problems and project blockers.

This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Work with business owners to deploy Cloud infrastructure.
• Develop, automate, and document processes to manage Cloud infrastructure.
• Implement Cloud policy.
• Manage/maintain/monitor/secure Cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with technical teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud related issues.
• Migrate data from on-premises systems to the cloud.
• Gather requirements and architect solutions in public Cloud. Review architected solutions.
• Leverage experience, resources, and knowledge to guide/influence Cloud architecture, policy, and processes. Align business requirements to available options, or roadmap future options.
• Help lead CloudOps day-to-day activities including backlog prioritization, weekly/monthly/quarterly goals, and workload delegation.
• Serve as team escalation to progress tasks and objectives, leveraging well-maintained team and teammate relationships.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree is required. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
• Five years Cloud experience. Ten years preferred.
• Five years on-premises infrastructure experience. Ten years preferred.
• Five years recent Azure experience. Ten preferred.




• Ability to deploy solutions in Azure through code.




• Two years project management or equivalent experience leading teams. Five years preferred.
• Two years multi-cloud experience. Five years preferred.
• Two years Hybrid on-premises Cloud infrastructure experience preferred. Five years preferred.
• Two years CICD/IaC/DevOps experience. Five years preferred.




• Ability to automate processes in Azure




• Ability to create technical documentation.
• Ability to work standard business hours.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently - identify what needs to be done, prioritize, coordinate, and execute.
• Ability to lead and influence others without authority.
