This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime pay. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills: Current college student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Computer Science, or other closely related field Experience in sales or customer service Experience in creating or revising guidelines, policies and procedures Community service experience Leadership experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent analytical skills Ability to read financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents Ability to build external and internal relationships Ability to work proactively, independently and in team setting with minimal supervision Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Actively participate in the Commercial Lending internship gaining valuable on-the-job training Work with assigned mentors to gain experience and first-hand knowledge of the Commercial Lending department Actively engage in sales calls with assigned mentors Gather financial information, including tax returns and financial statements, to be used in the loan qualification process Assemble financial packets for borrowers and assist with loan closings Assist with a review of policies and procedures from each department Assist with creating a Commercial Lending policies and procedures manual to include policies and procedures from each department Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your career and build internal and external relationships Participate in community building activities with managers Adhere to guidelines of trainee program Complete a thorough evaluation of the department at the internship completion Consistently exemplifies our Core Values of Integrity, Community, Dependability, Excellence, Longevity, and Accountability Complies with regulatory rules and regulations evidenced through successful completion of training and demonstrated ability Performs other duties and/or special projects as appointed by management Physical Requirements: primarily sitting with some standing, walking, lifting and bending Fidelity Bank is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer/Veterans/Disabled.
