Title: Estimating Manager Location: Pascagoula, MS Requisition # 2177 Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Estimating Manager to lead our dynamic Estimating Department. This pivotal role reports directly to the Vice President of Supply Chain Management and Pricing, and is instrumental in delivering accurate, Department of Defense (DoD)-compliant cost estimates essential to our organization's success. The ideal candidate will bring robust leadership, expertise in DFARS compliance, and a commitment to excellence, significantly contributing to our operational efficiency and profitability. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and inspire the Estimating Department, driving high-quality, compliant, and competitive cost estimations aligned with company objectives. * Develop and implement industry-leading standards, processes, and methodologies to deliver accurate and DFARS-compliant estimates. * Analyze detailed project requirements, specifications, and performance data to produce precise estimates covering labor, materials, and overhead costs. * Review, analyze, and approve proposals and budgets, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and strategic alignment. * Keep abreast of industry developments and market trends in shipbuilding to strategically inform and improve estimating practices. * Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization, proactively managing expectations and effectively communicating throughout the proposal lifecycle. * Conduct rigorous financial analysis to ensure profitability and competitiveness of bids. Required knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Proven expertise in cost estimation processes, forecasting methodologies, and comprehensive knowledge of DFARS 252.215-7002 Cost Estimating System Requirements. * Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate and manage a high-performing team. * Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail to produce accurate and actionable estimates. * Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities enabling effective collaboration and stakeholder management. Education, Experience & Training: * Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. (Required) * Minimum seven (7) years of relevant experience developing complex, DoD-compliant cost estimates.
