Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Mailroom Receiving Clerk.
In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for handling of all mail materials within the medical center Responsibilities will include Mailroom sorting and automation receiving movement of Inventory issuance and maintenance of all work areas Ability to manage multiple task and daily deadlines Attendance and Punctuality is essential
Job Responsibilities:
- Receiving unloading and loading of all materials including linen
- Responsible for proper safe and sanitary storage and care of materials and equipment
- Operation of manual and automatic jacks
- Perform other material duties as requested by supervisor
- Responsible for attaching identifying tags or labels to materials upon receipt and recording disposition if applicable
- Responsible for processing carts through decontamination units and proper disposal of soiled materials
- Responsible for maintaining an efficient and clean workplace of all materials management equipment and work areas
- Responsible for packing and shipment of materials as ordered
- Adhere to scheduling of par locations
- Responsible for loading and delivery of materials throughout the medical center
- Responsible for processing of delivery care and hand held technology in storeroom and clinical areas
- Responsible for inventories proper maintenance of same and reporting of all shortages overages system balances and corrective action if necessary
- Responsible for issuance receipt and proper recording of transactions for all supplies and deliveries from and to materials management
- Responsible for proper care and prudent operation of material handling equipment
- Responsible for proper distribution of materials throughout the medical center
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in mailroom automation UPS FED EX receiving and distribution strongly preferred Good written and oral communication skills Microsoft Office skills a must Basic math skills required Certification in automatic jacks is preferred but not required Contacts Patient Hospital personnel and public

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $44,339.58 - $49,142.36 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
