Finance Analyst, FP&A

Location: Southfield, MI (Hybrid)

The Financial Analyst, FP&A, will be responsible for compilation and analysis of monthly financial results and establishes and measures key financial targets.Assists in preparation of operations reviews, profit plans, forecasts and capital appropriation requests.Leads all core financial planning and analysis processes to ensure predictability, accountability and high performance inside the operations region.

Key Responsibilities



  • Prepare daily financial reporting & analysis and support to the Sr. Finance Manager - NAAM
  • Responsible for daily reconciliation of reporting system to general ledger
  • Responsible for providing and analyzing key data inputs for balance sheet provisions including returns and warranty
  • Assist with monthly sales forecasting and annual budgeting process
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests
  • Conduct variance analysis to forecast, budget and prior year, track KPIs, and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting as needed for finance management, including business units, sales and commercial management
  • Analyze monthly/quarterly/yearly financial results and communicate important trends and measurements to management
  • Review profitability models to ensure consistency with actuals and forecasts
  • Identify and communicate trends in commercial sales and benchmark performance to forecast and year-over-year growth rates.
  • Provide knowledge, financial advice and methods of continual improvement in developing and improving internal processes.
  • Prepare and present insightful analysis to support leadership in decision-making
  • Maintain system efficiency and perform tasks efficiently, while working together with teams to ensure project success.
  • Work with other departments in the interest of achieving assigned objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Experience



  • Bachelor'sdegree in Accounting or Finance,
  • 2 to 4years relevant work experience in a large corporation.


Preferred Skills & Experience



  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellentoral and written communication skills. Able to present information in a meaningful & concise format.
  • Highlyorganized, with strong multi-tasking skills to effectively manage multiple andcompeting priorities and demands
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • SAP/HANA experience a plus


Power BI experience a plus
