SHAREPOINT ADMINISTRATOR

POSITION SUMMARY

Okland is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented SharePoint Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SharePoint administration, including site management, user support, and system maintenance. This role is critical for ensuring that our SharePoint environment is optimized for performance, security, and usability. The SharePoint Administrator will work closely with IT staff, project managers, and end-users to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Manage and maintain the SharePoint environment, including site collections, libraries, lists, and workflows.
  • Provide user support and training on SharePoint features and best practices.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Develop and enforce SharePoint governance policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to integrate SharePoint with other enterprise systems and applications.
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to maintain security and reliability.
  • Create and maintain documentation for SharePoint configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new SharePoint sites and features to meet business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on SharePoint best practices and methodologies.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in SharePoint administration or a related role.
  • Proficient in SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2016/2019, and Office 365.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and SharePoint Designer.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES


  • Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, features, and capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint security and compliance best practices.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate) is a plus.
