Administrative Operations Coordinator

Description

Essential Duties:



  • Coordinates and hires ILA labor through the Automated Dispatch System (ADS)
  • Maintains vessel schedule
  • Answer multi phone calls/texts/emails with professionalism and promptness.
  • Monitor and track worker's skills, abilities, seniority, certifications, etc. to best position each individual on vessel operations
  • Work closely with vessel operations, union officials, and individual workers
  • Generates vessel outturn reports and statistics
  • Supports operations team with customer service and/or documentation needs
  • Must be available to work late / early hours (including Holidays.)


  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, Certifications):



  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 1+ year experience in the stevedoring industry and basic knowledge of vessel operations and ILA contractual agreements



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports


  • Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.
  • Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
  • Ability to create, compose and edit written materials.
  • Ability to deal with customers issues effectively and professionally
