Responsibilities

As a key member of our Talent Acquisition team, this role will have a hands-on approach to all the recruitment functions.

    Lead and processes full life cycle recruitment functions including sourcing, screening, interviewing, pre-employment processing and on-boarding, organize hiring virtually and in-person events and actively participate in college fairs and external hiring events.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with business leaders, hiring managers and cross functional partners to best meet the recruiting need of the business.
  • Collaborate closely with Hiring Managers to understand staffing and operational needs to develop recruitment strategies to source and secure qualified candidates. Advise on overall hiring process, job requisition details and creation, and effective candidate assessment/interview techniques.
  • Collaborate with internal and external Legal Counsel on sponsored J1, H1B, and other visa programs at NYBCe.
  • Proactively recommend staffing and hiring solutions to recruiting challenges, including changes to job descriptions, duties, and/or compensation bands that are not meeting hiring manager needs.
  • Create and edit job descriptions to improve the understanding of a position's duties and to assure their quality, completeness, and consistency.
  • Audits and reviews job descriptions and other job-related data including standard job descriptions, policies, and procedures, FLSA determinations, organization charts and personnel records to determine a position's correct classification and compensation.
  • Partners with management to evaluate organizational design, work assignments and staffing levels. Assists management with appropriate department structure and position development.
  • Provide guidance to management and staff on recruitment processes, pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation and job evaluation including recommending creative solutions to specific compensation related programs.
  • Research and answer questions regarding vacancy notices in Workday, the status of transactions, salary requirements and ranges, and other related issues.
  • Monitor, update and maintain ATS (Applicant Tracking System) to ensure positions are posted accurately, candidates can apply easily, and track job statuses/dispositions.
  • Prepare reports to summarize recruitment activity weekly. Prepares other reports via our internal HRIS and ATS.
  • Work with HR Assistant to manage job postings on the NYBC Career page, external websites and on social media sites.
  • Helps to build and execute NYBC employer brand and ensures that it is consistent across any job promotions, marketing, and advertising as well as in our communications with candidates.
  • Negotiate contracts with staffing agencies to ensure the company is utilizing quality agencies for the company's needs at a cost-efficient rate.


Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Experience:

Five years of relevant full-time human resources experience in recruitment ,which includes high volume recruiting in healthcare, life sciences. Candidates should be well versed in HRIS and ATS systems (i.e. Workday, Peoplesoft, ICIMS) and sourcing tools including fluency in Boolean Logic, LinkedIn Recruiter. Experience in Unionized setting is highly desirable.

For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed annual salary is $80,000.00/year to $90,000.00/year. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant's skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.This is
