The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic US Tax Manager to join our US Finance Team. In this role, you will oversee the tax functions of multiple US entities, including tax compliance, planning, and accounting, while strategically minimizing the organization's tax exposure. You'll also play a key role in implementing and ensuring compliance with the global transfer pricing policy in alignment with OECD guidelines. This position is hybrid (2-3 days in office per week), located in Geneva, IL.

Compensation:

The current salary range for this role is estimated to be $116,850- $158,200. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

What You'll Do:

Tax compliance & tax advice

  • Serve as the tax expert for multiple US entities, offering strategic tax advice and support, including identifying opportunities for tax efficiency and planning.

  • In M&A activities, establish and maintain tax processes while coordinating with previous stakeholders to ensure compliance obligations are met and proper documentation is maintained.

  • Oversee and coordinate the preparation of tax filings bydata and information to be provided to external tax service providers, including federal, state, and local filings (e.g., corporate income tax, sales and use tax, property tax), while assisting in the review and approval process, including extensions and tax calculations.

  • Collaborate with Controllers and Third-Party Accounting service providers on tax-related data, tax returns, and broader compliance and risk management topics, including taxes managed by other departments.

  • Manage and maintain strong working relationships with external tax service providers at the local level.

Tax calculation, payment and accounting

  • Review and validate the tax results of US entities to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Manage and coordinate tax provisions, return-to-provision reconciliations, and overall tax accounting and calculations.

  • Initiate and ensure timely tax payments in alignment with the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.

Tax audits

  • Lead and manage US tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, coordinating with previous stakeholders as necessary to ensure thorough and accurate responses.

Tax strategy and policy, Transfer pricing, projects

  • Oversee the implementation of the Group tax policy and strategy by US affiliates, as defined by the French-based Parent Company.

  • Manage transfer pricing compliance, including financial monitoring (adherence to transfer pricing policy and adjustments) and preparation of local documentation.

  • Support corporate tax reporting requirements, including BEAT, FATCA, CBCR, and Pillar 2, by ensuring accurate and timely data collection.

What You'll Need:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.

  • Master's degree in Taxation and/or CPA certification is a plus.

Experience:

  • 6-10 years of US tax experience, with 2-4 years in a Big 4 firm or equivalent.

  • Tax experience within a multinational organization is highly desirable.

  • Comprehensive expertise in various tax areas, including compliance, tax accounting, and transfer pricing.

Business Travel:

  • Travel to other manufacturing plants within the US and Canada will be required for certain projects.

  • Occasional international travel may be expected.
