The Opportunity

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for developing, documenting, and testing electrical and electronic subsystems and components for airfield lighting, employing knowledge of electronic theory and methods. This includes routine maintenance of a product as carried out in the Engineering Change Process, quality improvements, design to cost efforts, all the way to product sunsetting and eventual replacement.

You will make an impact by....



  • Collaborating with cross-functional global teams, participating in strategic product roadmap discussions and planning with global/local Product Management on the Airside 4.0 products
  • Creating, preparing, and modifying schematics, layouts, PCB drawings, and wiring diagrams for new product development and Engineering Changes release.
  • Working with cross functional team members to define requirements, identify risks, and develop designs.
  • Working with production to support production line setup with the introduction of new products.
  • Supporting production during periods of irregular operations which include BOM, assembly, and test questions.
  • Participatingprincipally in the design and building of test fixtures and development of automated test procedures.
  • Developing testing methodologies; summarize, analyze, and draws conclusions from test results.



The talent we want to inspire has....



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least four (4) years of experience in Electrical Engineering for industrial products
  • Analog/Digital circuit design, troubleshooting, Switchmode Power Supply design
  • Proper layout techniques with an emphasis in proper EMI mitigation and control
  • Proper setup and integration of standard test equipment: oscilloscope, spectrum analyzers, function generators, etc
  • Ability to travel 10% for field troubleshooting or data collection, both US and internationally
  • Work experience with the electronic design tools, Altium preferred



This would be a plus but not a must!



  • Experience with FAA/ICAO requirements for airfield lighting systems
  • Experience with high power electronics; constant current system experience
  • Experience with network analyzer, filter design, or communications
