Chord Energy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure Analyst to join our dynamic team. The IT Infrastructure Analyst will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, and optimal performance. This role requires extensive knowledge and experience in Windows Server, virtual, storage, and cloud technologies. The position reports to the IT Infrastructure Manager and is located in downtown Houston, TX.Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage and maintain the organization's Windows Server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Oversee the virtualization environment using VMware, ensuring efficient resource allocation, performance optimization, and timely issue resolution
- Design, implement, and support storage infrastructure
- Perform regular security audits and assist with quarterly SOX testing
- Monitor and troubleshoot server and storage performance issues, taking proactive measures to ensure maximum uptime and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support various IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior IT staff, assisting in complex problem resolution and fostering knowledge sharing
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to Windows Server, VMware/virtual, and storage technologies
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including infrastructure diagrams, system configurations, and standard operating procedures

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science or equivalent in years of relative experience
- 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a large-scale enterprise environment
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and server virtualization / virtual machine software (VMware)
- Experience with Exchange Online and email security gateways
- Strong knowledge of storage technologies, such as Pure and NetApp
- Understanding of system/network monitoring applications, such as SolarWinds
- Experience with O365/Entra ID, including the integration with Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentications (MFA) solutions
- Skilled in the utilization of certificates, Identity Access Management (IAM), radius services
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and services such as Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Virtual Lans (VLANs), and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
- Knowledge of technical infrastructure, networks, databases, and systems in relation to IT Security and IT Risks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
- Ability to meet deadlines

- Prior experience working within an upstream Oil and Gas organization
- Prior experience IOT and SCADA
- Ability to troubleshoot Windows client operating systems
