Responsibilities

Hanover Hill Behavioral Health, opening in late fall 2025, is seeking an experienced HR Director to join our leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team while working in a state-of-the-art facility, including EPIC.

Hanover Hill Behavioral Health combines two leaders in health care, in the partnership of Universal Health Services & Lehigh Valley Health Network. This 144-bed free standing behavioral health facility will offer the community high-quality behavioral health care services for seniors, adults and adolescents.

Located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in a region known as the Lehigh Valley, which offers a plethora of recreational activities allowing for a professional career and a fulfilling personal lifestyle while in close proximity to NYC, Philadelphia and beaches of New Jersey.

This HR Director will provide professional level planning, reporting and analysis to support the goals and objectives of the organization; resolves conflicts to protect the organization's assets; provides expertise and recommendations to support management decisions. Ensures HR activities compliant with State and Federal laws, licensing and accreditation bodies, and facility contracts. The HRD will also oversee all HR functions including recruitment, compensation, benefits, training/orientation, employee relations, workers' compensation and maintaining all personnel records in files and the HRIS system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field. Master's Degree preferred.
  • 3 years management experience required, and 5 years of healthcare experience preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR or GPHR certification preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and an understanding of Federal and State employment laws and regulations related to HR. Working knowledge of administering wage/salary programs, benefits, workers compensation, recruiting/retention plans, training/staff development, and employee relations. Requires leadership, organizational, supervisory and administrative abilities including excellent computer skills and knowledge of various software, internet-based HR systems and email.
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) standards is highly preferred.
