Job Summary

Mitigating risk associated with IFF's supply chain is the focus of this position.
The position involves working with a cross-functional team to proactively identify raw materials-related risk to IFF's global supply chain and mitigate the risk via the Atypical Testing program and special testing program. In-depth understanding of current analytical methods and instrumentation. Understanding of new technologies that may be used for testing and release of products from Ingredients manufacturing sites. Interactions with customers regarding test methods, customer complaints, and investigation-related product specifications. Interactions with Business Unit Leads, the Research & Development team along with the Regulatory team will occur on a regular frequency.

IFF has an amazing opportunity for a Global Manager Risk Mitigation - Ingredients in St. Louis. The role involves working with a cross-functional team to proactively identify raw material-related risks to IFF's global supply chain and mitigate these risks through the Atypical Testing Program and Special Testing Program. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of current analytical methods and instrumentation and new technologies for testing and releasing products from ingredient manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities:

Knowledge of Industry & Regulation:

  • Deep understanding of regulations and how vendor compliance impacts IFF.

  • Expertise in data interpretation and the ability to publicly explain and defend positions.

  • Proficiency in handling food security issues (FDA Bioterrorism Act, Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism), FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act).

  • Management of the Atypical Testing Program and Special Testing Program.

  • Provide global technical support to sites, including daily review of atypical and special testing results.

  • Lead global harmonization of quality methods, external labs, quality improvement projects, and cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or Food Technology. A Master's or advanced degree is preferred.

  • Relevant certifications such as ASQ, IFT, ASTA, or FEMA Certified Quality Manager.

Requirements:
Degree in Microbiology/Chemistry/Biology/ or Food Technology. Master or Advance degree is preferred.

7-10 years relevant experience.
