The Financial Analyst I shall be responsible for:
  • Managing and coordinating the key financial measurements (revenue, gross profit, expense, and profit and cash), and also advising on cost reducing techniques. Performing journal entries, verification, and backing up and maintaining financial database.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial reports. With the help of computer spreadsheets, drawing charts and graphs to illustrate these reports.
  • Monitoring variances, tracking receivables, and following up on discrepancies. Conducting business studies, reviewing accounts, vendor reports, contractual terms, prices, and market oscillations.
  • Performing budget and cost analysis, reviewing and advising on financial status. Performing risk assessments and evaluating programs.
  • Communicating with direct management, finance personnel and other analysts in meeting tasks assigned by the hospital. May presenting verbal or oral reports on general economic trends, individual corporations, and whole industries.
  • Developing automated accounting applications to improve productivity.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of financial information, investment decisions, or any other tasks assigned by the organization.
  • Preparing detailed analyses of various general ledger accounts and selected cost centers, as assigned. Reviewing account and/or fund activity for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness. Providing management with preliminary interpretations and explanations on trends, current and prior year changes and projected impact.
  • Communicating effectively and timely to provide clear and accurate responses to questions and concerns raised by department managers. Researching all issues or concerns pertaining to the budget performance report and funds collation report, as well as all supporting reports used by department managers and grant managers to manage revenues and expenses.
  • Maintaining capital portfolio including reconciling, organizing, tracking.

To qualify, you must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of previous experience
  • Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in depth, experienced based cross functional knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
  • Solid technical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Knowledge of basic analytical models, tools and methods.
  • A willingness and ability to learn and adopt new systems and technologies supporting Financial Reporting analytics.
  • Interest and skill in effectively working with large data sets.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively independently as well as cohesively within a team.
  • Ability to follow standardized processes accurately and consistently.
  • Ability to clearly explain and follow established protocols.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Ability to successfully interact and partner with customers, peers and management.
  • Ability to identify unfamiliar circumstances and escalate.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively meet deadlines.
