JOB SUMMARY

This is an exciting opportunity to obtain hands-on experience at a fast-growing biotech company. As a Marketing Intern, you will support the BioCryst Marketing Team across a variety of activities, creating marketing materials, supporting campaign execution, analyzing data, and contributing to overall marketing strategy development, with a focus on gaining hands-on experience in various Marketing aspects while learning industry trends and best practices. This is a unique chance for you to garner a breadth of experience across the Marketing spectrum while gaining valuable biotechnology industry experience. The ideal candidate will be ready to roll up their sleeves and bring their passion for Marketing and helping patients into a fast-paced, innovative learning environment. This individual should bring energy every day and be eager to work collaboratively.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Partner with marketing team, working closely with agency partners and Marketing team to plan, develop and execute new materials.
  • Assist with Marketing operations
  • Monitor relevant industry trends to share with team.
  • Conduct ad hoc research to inform various Marketing activities.



EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS



  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Completed Marketing 101 course(s) by start of internship with additional/advanced Marketing courses preferred
  • Passion for marketing and staying updated on industry trends
  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
  • Ability to comprehend basic scientific data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be available to work 30-40 hours/week during the period of the summer internship
  • Must be in proximity to the Durham, NC office
