Currently seeking a motivated individual from the Lighting industry preferably from the field of Lighting Design or Engineering. This is a transitional position will be part of a Regional Sales Representative development program. We have three openings for this regional sales role. Candidate's ideal locations are West Coast (west of Colorado), South Florida and Texas.

Summary This position plays a leading role in the lighting team selling philosophy, with an emphasis on driving specifications from the 'electrical channel' (lighting designers, electrical engineers, lighting agencies, electrical distributors, electrical contractors). Act as a peer/partner to Business Development Representative's (BDR) serving the LA/A&D community to develop lighting specifications from 10-5-3 accounts. Lead the relationship with the appointed lighting agents within the territory. A key to success is building and maintaining and expanding network of productive relationships with specifiers and project influencers to meet sales goals. Earning the trust and confidence of clients in yourself and the brand is key. Expertise in the technical aspects of outdoor lighting and illumination theory, and the commercial workings on the industry are highly advantageous. Principal Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility at the highest level. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education, Experience, and Skills Undergraduate degree, preferably in the field of design/engineering. Three to five years working in lighting design. Proven history demonstrating initiative, problem solving and creative customer-focused solutions. This position requires strong communication, presentation and storytelling skills across various mediums and types, (in person and virtual, written and verbal). High level reasoning and commercial awareness attributes are required to work all phases of a project and across the breadth of customer and influencer types (external and internal). Understanding of photometric software and/or AutoCAD is preferred. Exhibit thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn and operate software programs such as Salesforce. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Work environment varies as office may be home based. As a regional role, significant travel for in person client meetings, product presentations, trade shows and other activities as required. |
