Description Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers. Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment. Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values. Provides age specific services to patients and families of toddlers through geriatrics. Provides assistance and direction to Patients/Customers/Employees at main entrances. Provides (walking) escort assistance to and from clinic appointments or to other locations on campus Verbalizes a pleasant and appropriate greeting. Approaches vehicles and offers assistance before being asked (open and hold doors) Maintains composure under difficult conditions Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must offer assistance to physically (weight) and mentally challenged customers before being asked Direct customers to the Reception Desks when necessary Provide walking escort assistance to clinic patients to and from appointments Maintains visibility at designated entrances including Mather Pavilion bridge or Reception Desks. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. This is a full time position 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and holidays. This position is at the Cleveland Medical Center, Main Campus. The shift will be nights 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
