Overview

Ready to shape the future of science and global health? ATCC, a leading nonprofit biological resources and standards organization, is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to work onsite in Manassas, VA. This role requires a critical thinker capable of independently managing the planning and execution of projects from initiation through delivery. The Senior Project Coordinator will organize cross-functional activities, ensuring project completion while adhering to budget, scope, and schedule requirements. They will serve as an in-house project consultant, evaluating needs and requests for proposals.


The Senior Project Coordinator will provide support to project management functions within established practices and procedures, tackling problems of moderate scope with a strategic mindset. They will ensure consistency throughout the project lifecycle by supporting routine project tasks.

Responsibilities

    Prepare and Assess Project Plans: Monitor projects from initiation through delivery, set deadlines, document progress, and prepare reports for stakeholders. Elevate delays or concerns to the project management team and ensure work completion.
  • Organize Meetings and Support Teams: Organize and prepare for departmental or cross-functional meetings, determine tasks, and provide administrative support to project teams focused on delivering or upgrading products and services.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Ensure adherence to contract language, track project amendments, and maintain documentation such as contracts, invoices, and payment records.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years' experience or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management and Microsoft Project experience with PMP highly preferred.
  • Ability to understand process flows and operational systems to meet the defined requirements of the business.
  • Leadership qualities with excellent communication and team skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to explore data, discover patterns, and find meaningful relationships, anomalies as well as trends.


Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
