This position will be based in Chicago, IL and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing field pricing strategies, focusing your efforts on the most significant opportunities to drive sales growth. You will collaborate closely with distributor management, ensuring the successful implementation of annual sales plans and allocating resources effectively to support our brands. Your ability to recognize market dynamics and pivot resources accordingly will be crucial in maximizing sales and meeting revenue targets.

In this role, you will lead and support the career development of forward-deployed field sales resources, ensuring a robust talent pipeline for Gallo. Your strategic decisions and collaboration with distributor personnel will drive the execution of Gallo programs, monthly objectives, and sales incentives. You will also oversee the implementation of national promotions and programs, ensuring they resonate in the marketplace.

Your expertise in pricing, forecasting, and market data analysis will guide your decisions, helping you develop and present compelling sales strategies to distributor management. You will engage with key accounts, conduct sales training, and lead tastings and consumer-facing events, all while acting as a Gallo Ambassador, advocating for our brands within your community.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of Gallo or distributor sales or marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, or restaurant/hospitality experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of Gallo or distributor sales or marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, or restaurant/hospitality experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to travel by air and automobile up to 50% during the course of business.
  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to lift and move product weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to employ an alternative work schedule to include weekends and evenings.
  • Required to obtain a liquor license as required by state/locally.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What You Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales experience to include a prior rotation as a Portfolio Consultant, Business Development Manager, Program Manager Sales-LDP, Business Intelligence Manager or Account Manager 2; OR Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of external alcohol sales experience to include on-premise experience.
  • Both On-premise & Retail experience.
  • Direct managerial/supervisory experience with sales, retail, or on-premise employees (e.g. District Manager, Area Manager, State Manager, Field Marketing manager, etc.)
  • Experience selling or marketing Gallo brands.

Compensation:

  • Hiring salary range posted: $118,600- $178,000/ year
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
