Position Summary

Trideum Corporation has an opening for a Junior Software Developer/Data Scientist with a focus on supporting multiple U.S. Army programs at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. This junior-level position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge applications and contribute to the development of scalable, user-centric solutions. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in modern software development technologies and frameworks.

The selected candidate will work at the customer's site on Redstone Arsenal. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage AI/ML software development expertise in support of innovative solutions data manipulation and visualization. The ideal candidate must be adept at conceptualizing technical solutions, communicating complex topics to diverse audiences, defining product roadmaps, and integrating emerging technologies to address evolving customer needs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure alignment with customer and organizational goals.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Support the U.S. Army with data translation, automation and aggregation tasks.
  • Serve as a software developer and information technology/data science and analytics "tinkerer."
  • Support a variety of high-profile projects across multiple domains, such as, cyber, information warfare, electronic warfare, and threat intelligence to support mission objectives for the U.S. Army.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and deliver high-quality software.
  • Provide scripting, data translation, migration and query capabilities.
  • Assist in managing an air-gapped development environment to support code production and data warehousing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues across the stack, ensuring reliability and uptime.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and help refine the technical roadmap.
  • Support the documentation of technical processes, system designs, and user-facing features.
  • Occasionally contribute to thought leadership, such as internal presentations, technical white papers, or blog posts.
  • Ensure compliance with coding standards, security best practices, and version control processes.


Required Qualifications:



  • Active Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, etc.)
  • Minimum of 1 year software development experience with a focus on AI/ML development
  • Proficient in (or willing to learn) numerous programming languages, including, but not limited to, Python, Pearl, XML
  • Experience working in Windows operating systems, with a willingness to learn Linux environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (e.g., Docker)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders


Desired Qualifications:



  • Active Top Secret Clearance is preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant software development experience
  • Relevant course work, personal projects, certifications, or experience developing or refining large language models (LLMs)
  • Previous experience in the defense sector or working on government contracts
  • Experience working with Linux-based operating systems, including familiarity with command-line tools, shell scripting, and system administration basics
