Description GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Land Development CAD Designer for our growing Orlando and Jacksonville, Florida offices. A successful candidate is one who uses engineering principles, AutoCAD Civil 3D and other softwares to design, and develop plans for civil infrastructure projects. Job Duties: Prepare plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D. Participates in technical studies, design, preparation of specifications, and technical plans. Filling out and completing permit applications for processing. Construction administration support including field observation reports. General Characteristics Interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates assignments; serves as a Task Manager for midsize to large projects; serves as the technical specialist in the field of expertise; up to speed on industry standards and Company policies and procedures. Minimum Years of Experience 18+ Years of Experience Education Associate Degree from an accredited Technical School or equivalent experience. Certification/Licensure Driver's License Technical Responsibilities Lead and manage tasks to successful completion for time, budget, schedule, and quality. Project and Task Management Responsible for task management and adherence to deadlines and scope. Management Responsibility Provides advisement on scopes, budgets, and schedules for work to be completed; works with other project leadership to complete their assigned tasks; maintains GAI's procedures and protocols. Responsible for management and administration of staff. Communication Skills Routinely interacts with clients, leads project and group meetings and presentations; possess marketing and sales skills; represents Company in a positive light; interacts with Project Managers and leaders of the Company on a regular basis; attends meetings with company leaders on Group/Department status including financials reviews.
