Description

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Land Development CAD Designer for our growing Orlando and Jacksonville, Florida offices. A successful candidate is one who uses engineering principles, AutoCAD Civil 3D and other softwares to design, and develop plans for civil infrastructure projects.

Job Duties:



  • Prepare plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Participates in technical studies, design, preparation of specifications, and technical plans.
  • Filling out and completing permit applications for processing.
  • Construction administration support including field observation reports.


General Characteristics



  • Interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates assignments; serves as a Task Manager for midsize to large projects; serves as the technical specialist in the field of expertise; up to speed on industry standards and Company policies and procedures.


Minimum Years of Experience



  • 18+ Years of Experience


Education



  • Associate Degree from an accredited Technical School or equivalent experience.


Certification/Licensure



  • Driver's License


Technical Responsibilities



  • Lead and manage tasks to successful completion for time, budget, schedule, and quality.


Project and Task Management



  • Responsible for task management and adherence to deadlines and scope.


Management Responsibility



  • Provides advisement on scopes, budgets, and schedules for work to be completed; works with other project leadership to complete their assigned tasks; maintains GAI's procedures and protocols.
  • Responsible for management and administration of staff.


Communication Skills



  • Routinely interacts with clients, leads project and group meetings and presentations; possess marketing and sales skills; represents Company in a positive light; interacts with Project Managers and leaders of the Company on a regular basis; attends meetings with company leaders on Group/Department status including financials reviews.
