General Characteristics



  • Applies broad knowledge of principles and practices in a specific practice area.
  • Independently evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Acquires general knowledge of principles and practices of related fields, and ability to function on multidisciplinary teams.
  • Applies leadership and teamwork skills to effectively plan, execute, and manage scopes, schedules, and budgets to meet project stakeholder needs.


Minimum Years of Experience



  • 6+ Years of Experience


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field


Certification/Licensure



  • Certification through SHRM (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SPC) or HRCI (PHR, SPHR) strongly preferred


Technical Responsibilities



  • Implements human resources programs by providing human resources services, including recruiting and staffing, administration of compensation and benefits programs, training and development, employee or labor relations, and affirmative action/equal employment opportunity compliance.
  • Collaborates with HR Team to draft job descriptions.
  • Completes personnel transactions and maintains associated records.
  • Collects and analyzes internal and external information to compare the organizations HR practices to those prevailing in the market.
  • Monitors compliance with applicable labor laws or regulations in focused area.
  • Project and Task Management
  • Routinely plans and coordinates detailed aspects of HR projects.
  • Prepares project scopes, schedules and plans for assigned projects.
  • Routinely assigns tasks to other technical and non-technical staff


Management Responsibility



  • Receives general direction on key objectives. Receives guidance on unconventional/complex problems, direction on modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria.
  • Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of HR assignments.
  • Mentors junior staff by providing guidance, explaining responsibilities and reviewing work products.


Communication Skills



  • Demonstrates advanced communication skills, verbally, in writing, and in presentations, with employees at all levels.
  • Begins to lead internal and external teams.
  • Leads discussions and tasks to completion.
