The IT business relationship partner (BRP) will support the UVMHN Population Health Service Organization (PHSO) and Continuing Care Services (CCS) inclusive of UVMHN Long Term Care (LTC) and Home Health and Hospice (HHH). This is an exciting opportunity as UVMHN evaluates and implements technology to support our clinical and revenue cycle efforts in these two important spaces including the upcoming implementation of Epic modules Dorothy, Comfort and Compass Rose.
The IT business relationship partner (BRP) plays a critical role as the strategic liaison between the IT department and senior leaders of business units within the organization. The primary responsibilities of the IT BRP are to build strong partnerships with senior leaders and other key stakeholders, develop a deep understanding of their business needs, and align IT services and solutions to support and enhance their objectives. The IT BRP will play a pivotal role in fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of technology-driven projects that directly impact the health system's overall performance and efficiency.
Key skills for success in this role include outstanding verbal and written communication skills, the ability to form and maintain strong professional relationships, the ability to successfully navigate ambiguity, the ability persuade and influence others, the ability to navigate political arenas with ease, the ability to manage competing priorities, and the ability to analyze data to solve complex problems.
The BRP will function as a key member of the IT leadership team and as an advisor, a strategic partner and leader of management on information technology matters. In this capacity, the applicant will help ensure IT application and technology strategies align with the overall organizational mission and vision, and participate in developing standards and procedures for selection, implementation, integration, and support of systems.
Education & Experience
  • A B.A/B.S. in computer science, business administration or an advanced clinical degree (MD, PhD, DNP, etc.) preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in IT, Healthcare, and/or related field.
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in any of the following: Agile, Scale Agile Framework (SAFe), Lean, and/or Six Sigma, Population Health, Long Term Care or Home Healthcare services.
The role of Business Relationship Partner includes multiple levels. The hiring team reserves the right to determine appropriate level placement of our final candidate.
